Trace Monotype Printing Demo Open Studio with Charlotte Cooper

Trace Monotype Printing Demo Open Studio with Charlotte Cooper

(Part of Open House and Art History Festival)

Join us for our open studio day that showcases the process of trace monotype printing. Charlotte Cooper will make a piece of artwork on site at Hogarth’s House that shows visitors the easy, effective process of trace monotype printing.

Charlotte will create several large printed pieces related to her Interference Patterns exhibition (at Hogarth’s House from November 2025) inspired by human relationships, responses to the idea of the ‘other’ and Hogarth’s work.

Visitors will be invited to join Charlotte in creating some prints to either take home, or display at Hogarth’s House.

The Association for Art History’s Art History Festival is a free, annual event for the public which celebrates and explores the histories of art, design and architecture showing how these subjects help us to better understand the world around us. The programme consists of in-person and online events offered by organisations and individuals from across the UK during one week in September.

Art History Festival 2024 will take place between Monday 16 – Sunday 22 September. This year’s theme is Art History: Local to Global, celebrating art and visual culture that draws inspiration from local history and tradition, including art that breathes new life into communities or that transcends borders. Our programme of events will include talks, tours, demonstrations, workshops, panel discussions, walks, family events, family workshops, and community-driven and youth art events.
