This image and text zine-making workshop, located in William Hogarth’s former residence, brings together photography, writing, art and history in a creative and immersive way.
You will take pictures along the Thames and on site (in and around Hogarth’s house) using Polaroid cameras and your mobile phone. Through your photographs, found objects, drawings and writing, you will document your experience of walking and exploring the locations, finding resonances between Hogarth’s time and 2026.
We will incorporate the use of Khora, a philosophical search engine powered by machine learning to encourage you to reflect on your experience. Khora provides an alternative to the generative AI platforms promoted by Big Tech and will be customised specifically for this activity. At the end of the workshop you will bring home your own zine made during the session.
Come along if you are interested in photography, writing, history and art.
There are ten places available for this workshop.
