Unusual for the time, Hogarth hand made many of his own prints. Learn more about printing and the processes that went into making the prints you see on display in the House.
Each workshop will share information about Hogarth as a printmaker, the blind embossing and debossing technique and a hands-on opportunity to print one of your own unique Christmas card designs with our intaglio printing press. Using shapes, lines and no ink, each participant can create and take home both their plate and a beautiful Christmas card, made with their own embossed/debossed design.
No previous printmaking experience needed and all materials supplied.
All ages are welcome, but the workshop does include the use of sharp tools, so all attendees aged under 16 must be supervised 1:1 by their accompanying adult.

We are trialling a new pricing model for this workshop – Pay what you can. The tickets have a suggested price of £7.50, but this can be changed to a higher or lower amount that suits your budget.
